My wife and I stayed at RIU Cancun for our honeymoon and overall had a great experience. The resort was very clean, with staff constantly maintaining the rooms, grounds, and beach. The beach itself was excellent—soft sand with no rocks and clear turquoise water that stayed shallow far into the ocean. Pools were heated, which was a nice bonus. Our ocean-view room had a spacious bathroom with two sinks and great water pressure. Housekeeping did a fantastic job and surprised us with honeymoon touches like rose petals, a towel heart, and a bottle of champagne. Food quality and variety were also a big plus, with multiple dinner restaurants that didn’t require reservations and a 24-hour sports bar for late-night food. A few downsides: very strict smoking/vaping rules (even outdoors), long waits at some dinner restaurants, and rooms felt a bit dated with no USB outlets and a small TV. We also had a couple noisy nights from neighboring rooms, and beach drink service was limited. Overall, RIU Cancun is a solid choice for couples looking for a clean resort with great food, a convenient location, and one of the best beaches in Cancun.

I loved our stay in Hotel Riu, the moment you step in you are greeted with a beautiful lobby and a very nice smell! What a great first impression! The food was excellent, we really like there are so many options at the buffet and the Italian and Steakhouse specialty restaurant was superb! We also loved the drinks they serve! The service is also fast and all friendly! Overall it was an almost perfect vacation (not perfect because the cold front was there in Cancun, it felt like 14 degrees!)

I stayed here for 5 days and had a blasting experience. There is huge scope for the management to up the quality of their rooms, nonetheless other services at hotel were amazing. 1. Japanese restaurant in the lobby is really good (worth waiting ~an hour) 2. Lobby bar does a good job of select drinks & miramar has a good quality of food 3. The entertainment team ensures vibe of the place is well lit (special mentions : Adriana & Oscar - they are live wire!!) 4. Service desk - few customer staff members are really helpful (special mention : Carmen for being so helpful!) 5. Weekly theme parties is a great concept - enjoyed the pink party! I would recommend to stay outdoors if you plan to visit here, the rooms are very very basic.

We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Riu Cancun. It is an all-inclusive hotel with several restaurants, including a buffet, Italian, and steakhouse options. There are multiple bars and a nightclub open between 11 PM and 2 AM. The hotel also has a few pools where you can relax during the day. The elevators can get busy at times, especially during peak hours. The location is very good, with many activities and attractions nearby. The nights are especially enjoyable thanks to the dances and live shows organized by the hotel. We also attended the White Party at Hotel Riu Caribe, which was a fun and memorable experience. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay with great entertainment and a lively atmosphere.

Nice beach! Pros: beautiful beach. Probably the calmest in this area. Amazing parties at RIU caribe and entertainment team is good. Food is alright && will keep you fed. Italian was definitely the best option. Everything was in proximity, and the hotel is not crazy big. Best part - no children! It was the best lol! Housekeeping was great. Staff for the most part were nice. Cons: THE ROOMS ARE SO DATED! Very old. The air does not go below 24 degrees Celsius, && you cannot change it. The fan is also stuck at whatever speed they set, so it makes it very uncomfortable… especially in the daytime. We could not stay in the room in the day. Outlets are dated and some didn’t work. The mirrors were so aged they had marks on them. Bartenders can become moody, and we were ignored a few times. They would just make a drink and hand it to you, even if it was not what you asked them for. Steakhouse was awful, but the view was great. Overall a wonderful hotel. The rooms just neeed to be updated.

The location of this resort is excellent, it’s close to everything, which is honestly a saving grace because it’s easy to leave the hotel and eat elsewhere. The staff were also very kind and polite, which we appreciated. The beachfront view from our room was beautiful. The balcony was spacious, and being able to watch the sunset over the ocean was definitely a highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in some major areas. The food was extremely disappointing. Breakfast was decent, but lunch and dinner were honestly terrible. The menu was repetitive, with the same options over and over, and the quality was very poor. We often felt like we were starving and ended up leaving the resort to eat elsewhere. The rooms were another big issue. While the view was great, the room itself felt old, musty, and not properly cleaned. Most concerning was that our sheets had visible mould on them. We had our room cleaned multiple times during the stay, yet the mouldy sheet was never changed, which was very unsettling. Overall, the resort has potential because of its location, views, and friendly staff, but the food quality and room cleanliness seriously need improvement. I wouldn’t return unless major changes are made.

Party central if you want it. Were young 50 year old but not once got approached by and of the Riu Party staff to go to White/Pink etc parties at Riu Caribe but loads of young, hip people did. Entertainment on site was ok the best for us being the Silent disco and the Latin dance show. Pools are lovely but the main two have on very loud music and activities for quite a lot if the day which is fine but if you want somewhere a bit more peaceful its the far end of the hotel with fewer sunbeds and further away from facilities. Even though as a tui customer you were told you didnt have to tip the waiters around the hotel (pools, restaurants, bar areas) expected to be tipped (not going to argue that point so don't come at me this is my opinion as a person from the UK where tipping is not generally done) and this made us feel awkward as we didnt take cash out with us. Staff mostly friendly. Very clean everywhere but the hotel in places needs some tlc, paintwork, cracked glass on table tops, oxidation on lamps the rooms due to the sea air but a lovely hotel all the same. Looks very impressive from the beach which is public as is all of Mexican beaches so general public including children walked by all day but there was security at the Access point back into the hotel who checked your wristbands (don't lose it it costs a lot to get replaced). Easy check in/out. Shops and markets outside the hotel to check out but same stuff in most. Branded outlets a short taxi ride away(Chanel,PRADA). I prowouldnt go back, I'd look fir somewhere a little smaller and authentic and a bit less Party

Beautiful adults-only resort. Delicious food and great variety of restaurants (French, Italian, Japanese sushi, steakhouse & buffet). Beautiful beach views and white sand. Avoid travelling during spring break if you wish for more quiet and calm ambience. Easily accessible and safe from the airport.
